আজকের লেসনে আরো কিছু “japanese idioms and phrases” শিখাব…
১. বাকা মো ইচি গেই
বাকা-fool, ইচি-one, গেই-tricks
Literally: Even a fool has one talent.
Meaning: Even a fool may be good at something.
২.ইসসেকি নিচৌ
ইসসেকি-one stone, নি-two, চৌ-bird
Literally: One stone, two birds.
Meaning: “To kill two birds with one stone”.
৩.উমা নো মিমি নি নেনবুতসু
উমা-ঘোড়া, মিমি-কান, নেনবুতসু-Buddhist prayer
Literally: A sutra (Buddhist prayer) in a horse’s ear.
Meaning: A wasted effort.
৪.ওন্না সাননিন ইয়োরেবা কাশিমাশিই
ওন্না-women , সাননিন-৩ জন,ইয়োরেবা-gather, কাশিমাশি-noisy
Literally: If three women visit, noisy.
Meaning: Wherever three women gather it is noisy.
৫.তোনারি নো শিবাফু ওয়া আওই
তোনারি-পাশে অবস্থিত কিছু বুঝায় এখানে neighbor বুঝাইছে , শিবাফু-lawn, আওই-blue
Literally: The neighbor’s lawn is blue.
Meaning: “The grass is always greener on the other side”.
